As Executive Director and Chief Trainer, Lena drives the training curriculum at LIAM Consultants and oversees to material that are included in the training syllabus. She is key to the direction taken in the courses and holds a firm belief that everyone, if taught properly, can be a great sales person.
Lena brings to LIAM a wealth of sales experience both as a sales manager and as a sales person with over 25 years of experience in the financial industry. She was formerly heading sales teams in regional and international equity houses such as CLSA and the Australian-based investment bank, Macquarie Group. Prior to becoming a sales person, Lena was a senior analyst with UBS and began her career as a business journalist in The Business Times in Malaysia.
Trained in aeronautical engineering, Jude has been in the service industry for over 26 years. Thirteen of those years were with Singapore Airlines firstly as a Training Administrator and later as country manager with its subsidiary SilkAir. Jude has a post-graduate diploma in Training and Development Management from the Singapore Institute of Management and also in Training Management from the Institute of Training and Development (UK).
As Managing Director, Jude works together with the management team to drive the growth of LIAM Consultants. He remains a Director with Sisma Holdings in Malaysia, a conglomerate that is the franchise holder of Jaguar cars and also has a chain of luxury watch shops under the Woo Hing name in Kuala Lumpur.
Ridzuan Abdul Aziz is Senior Facilitator bringing with him close to 20 years of regional experience from the regulatory and compliance arenas.
He worked with multi-national investment banking groups including Nomura Securities as Head of monitoring and Surveillance and Macquarie Group as Head of Compliance. Prior to that, Ridzuan was involved in the oversight of fund management, unit trust and secondary bond market trading in the Malaysian Securities Commission.
Ridzuan has contributed actively towards improving the regulation and infrastructure development of the Malaysian Securities Industries. During his tenure with the Securities Commission, he was a leading team member responsible for the principle computation of Large Risk Exposure, which was part of the harmonization exercise between Bank Negara Malaysia’s Risk Weighted Capital Ratio and Bursa Malaysia’s Capital Adequacy Ratio.
Through his vast understanding of trading ethics, risk management and corporate governance, Ridzuan has been sent to supervise financially stricken stock brokers during the Asian Financial Crisis to transition in an orderly fashion with the interim regulator-appointed teams.
Ridzuan is passionate about training and spends some of his spare time training high school students in Malaysia and Singapore about financial literacy. Graduating from University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1997 with BSc Economics, majoring in Accounting and Finance, Ridzuan furthered his education by obtaining an MBA from the International Islamic University
Malaysia.
